A DRY NORTHEAST MONSOON IS BRINGING GENERALLY FINE WEATHER
TO SOUTHERN CHINA. LOCALLY, THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER MOST
PARTS OF THE TERRITORY FELL TO ABOUT 60 PER CENT AROUND
NOON. MEANWHILE, AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS BRINGING
UNSETTLED WEATHER TO THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA
SEA, A TROPICAL CYCLONE APPEARS TO BE FORMING.


 
AT NOON, SEVERE TROPICAL STORM CHAN-HOM WAS CENTRED ABOUT
300 KILOMETRES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF OSAKA. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE EAST-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 16 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS
THE SEAS SOUTH OF JAPAN.
