LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
A SOUTHWESTERLY AIRSTREAM IS BRINGING SHOWERS TO THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA. BESIDES, UNSETTLED
WEATHER ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER-AIR DISTURBANCE IS
AFFECTING CENTRAL CHINA AND THE NORTHERN PART OF SOUTHERN
CHINA. THE UPPER-AIR DISTURBANCE IS EXPECTED TO REACH THE
SOUTH CHINA COAST LATER TODAY.
 
AT 2 A.M., SEVERE TYPHOON BAVI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 290
KILOMETRES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF JEJU. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
EAST CHINA SEA.
 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY
 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. SHOWERS WILL INCREASE
GRADUALLY. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 27 AND 32
DEGREES. MODERATE SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY FRESH
OFFSHORE.
 
OUTLOOK : HEAVY SHOWERS AND A FEW SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS ON
THURSDAY AT FIRST. FEWER SHOWERS DURING THE DAY. VERY HOT
WITH SUNNY PERIODS IN THE FOLLOWING FEW DAYS, BUT THERE
WILL STILL BE ONE OR TWO SHOWERS.
