HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
A DRY CONTINENTAL AIRSTREAM IS BRINGING FINE WEATHER TO
SOUTHERN CHINA. LOCALLY, IT WAS VERY DRY IN THE AFTERNOON.
THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER MOST PARTS OF THE TERRITORY FELL
TO 40 PER CENT OR BELOW.
TROPICAL STORM TAPAH HAS INTENSIFIED INTO A SEVERE TROPICAL
STORM. AT 4 P.M., TAPAH WAS CENTRED ABOUT 320 KILOMETRES
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF OKINAWA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 15 KILOMETRES TOWARDS THE RYUKYU ISLANDS
AND INTENSIFY GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
IT WILL BE FINE. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 25
DEGREES. VERY DRY DURING THE DAY TOMORROW WITH A MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 32 DEGREES. MODERATE NORTHERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY FRESH.
OUTLOOK : MAINLY FINE AND DRY WITH LARGE TEMPERATURE
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAY AND NIGHT IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF
DAYS.
