THE BROAD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA IS BRINGING UNSETTLED WEATHER TO THE
SOUTH CHINA COASTAL WATERS.



AT 5 A.M., SEVERE TYPHOON LINGLING WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS OF ABOUT 155 KILOMETRES PER HOUR NEAR ITS CENTRE WAS
LOCATED AT 23.8 DEGREES NORTH, 125.4 DEGREES EAST. IT IS
FORECAST TO MOVE NORTH AT ABOUT 12 KILOMETRES PER HOUR
ACROSS THE SEAS EAST OF TAIWAN.
