LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
GENERAL SITUATION

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE BROUGHT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, THERE WERE
OCCASIONAL HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. MORE THAN 40
MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED OVER MOST PARTS OF
THE TERRITORY, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 100 MILLIMETRES
OVER SAI KUNG DISTRICT, HONG KONG ISLAND AND CHEUNG CHAU.
THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO LINGER OVER THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, BRINGING UNSETTLED WEATHER
TO THE REGIONS.
 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS. VISIBILITY WILL BE
RATHER LOW IN SOME AREAS AT FIRST AND THERE WILL BE
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS WILL EASE OFF DURING THE
DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 25 AND 29 DEGREES.
LIGHT TO MODERATE EASTERLY WINDS.
 
OUTLOOK : STILL SHOWERY IN THE FOLLOWING FEW DAYS.
