AT 6 P.M. AT THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY THE AIR TEMPERATURE
WAS 30 DEGREES CELSIUS AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY 75 PER
CENT.
DURING THE PAST HOUR THE MEAN UV INDEX RECORDED AT KING'S
PARK WAS 0.2. THE INTENSITY OF UV RADIATION WAS LOW.
 
THE NORTHEAST MONSOON NOW AFFECTING THE NORTHERN PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA WILL PERSIST TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
(THURSDAY) AND OCCASIONALLY STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED OVER
OFFSHORE WATERS OF HONG KONG. DOKSURI OVER THE CENTRAL PART
OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA WILL MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST IN THE
GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE VICINITY OF SOUTHERN HAINAN ISLAND
AND VIETNAM. DOKSURI WILL MAINTAIN A DISTANCE OF MORE THAN
600 KILOMETRES FROM HONG KONG TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING,
AND ITS DIRECT IMPACT TO THE LOCAL WEATHER IS NOT HIGH FOR
THE TIME BEING. THE OBSERVATORY WILL CLOSELY MONITOR THE
EVOLUTION OF DOKSURI.

THE VERY HOT WEATHER WARNING IS NOW IN FORCE. VERY HOT
WEATHER MIGHT CAUSE ADVERSE HEALTH EFFECTS. MEMBERS OF THE
