HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
GENERAL SITUATION

THE ANTICYCLONE ALOFT OVER SOUTHEASTERN CHINA STRENGTHENED
GRADUALLY YESTERDAY AND BROUGHT GENERALLY FINE WEATHER TO
THE REGION. LOCALLY, IT WAS MAINLY FINE APART FROM ISOLATED
SHOWERS YESTERDAY. THE WEATHER WAS VERY HOT IN THE
AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES OVER PARTS OF THE TERRITORY ROSE TO
AROUND 34 DEGREES. THE ANTICYCLONE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE TO
AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN CHINA IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. IT
WILL BE MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT OVER THE REGION.
 
AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT, TYPHOON NORU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 150
KILOMETRES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF KAGOSHIMA. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE NORTHEAST OR NORTH-NORTHEAST SLOWLY ACROSS THE
VICINITY OF KYUSHU, JAPAN.
 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
 
MAINLY FINE APART FROM ISOLATED SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM
TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 28 DEGREES. VERY HOT DURING THE
DAY WITH A MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 33 DEGREES IN THE
URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF DEGREES HIGHER IN THE NEW
TERRITORIES. MODERATE SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS.
 
OUTLOOK : MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE
OF DAYS.
