HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
A SOUTHERLY AIRSTREAM CONTINUES TO BRING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE COASTAL AREAS OF GUANGDONG. LOCALLY,
ABOUT 5 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED OVER PARTS OF
THE TERRITORY THIS MORNING, RAINFALL EXCEEDED 20
MILLIMETRES OVER THE EASTERN PART OF THE TERRITORY.
 
AT 5 A.M., SEVERE TROPICAL STORM NANMADOL WAS CENTRED ABOUT
120 KILOMETRES SOUTHWEST OF NAGASAKI. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 45 KILOMETRES PER HOUR IN THE
DIRECTION OF KYUSHU JAPAN.
 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY
 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS. SHOWERS WILL BE
HEAVY AT TIMES WITH A FEW SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS AT FIRST.
SHOWERS WILL EASE OFF WITH SUNNY INTERVALS LATER. THE
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 30 DEGREES. MODERATE
SOUTHERLY WINDS, FRESH AT TIMES.
