HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
AN UPPER-AIR ANTICYCLONE IS BRINGING GENERALLY FINE AND
VERY HOT WEATHER TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG. MEANWHILE, A
BROAD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS BRINGING THUNDERY SHOWERS
TO GUANGDONG. LOCALLY, IT WAS VERY HOT IN THE AFTERNOON.
TEMPERATURES OVER PARTS OF THE NEW TERRITORIES ROSE TO 34
DEGREES OR ABOVE.
 
AT 4 P.M., SEVERE TYPHOON LIONROCK WAS CENTRED ABOUT 500
KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF OKINAWA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
SLOWLY AT FIRST, LINGERING OVER THE SEAS EAST OF THE RYUKYU
ISLANDS, AND THEN MOVE NORTHEAST LATER.
 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
 
BECOMING CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. MORE
SHOWERS TOMORROW. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 26 AND 31
DEGREES. LIGHT TO MODERATE NORTHWESTERLY WINDS.
 
OUTLOOK : SHOWERS EASING OFF LATER ON SUNDAY. DRY DURING
THE DAY ON MONDAY.
