Morocco grants visa-free access for HKSAR Passport holders Morocco has become the latest country to grant visa-free access to the holders of Hong Kong SAR passports. The decision will take effect from October 1 and will mean that Hong Kong people will be able to visit Morocco for up to 30 days without a visa. In welcoming the decision, a government spokesman said it was a vote of confidence in Hong Kong's effective immigration control under the 'One Country, Two Systems' arrangement. "This is a further achievement in our efforts to enhance travel convenience for HKSAR passport holders," the spokesman said. The availability of visa-free access to Morocco has brought to 117 the total number of jurisdictions agreeing to grant visa-free access for HKSAR passport holders. At present, nationals of Morocco can visit Hong Kong visa-free for a stay up to one month. Ends/Tuesday, September 3, 2002 |
