Greenland, Faroe Islands grant visa-free access

Greenland and the Faroe Islands have granted visa-free access to the holders of the Hong Kong SAR passport for a stay of up to 90 days with immediate effect.

The Hong Kong SAR Government announced today (July 24) that it had received confirmation of the decision from the Royal Danish Consulate General.

"We warmly welcome this confirmation by the Consulate General," a government spokesman said.

The decision brings to 116 the number of countries or territories that grant visa-free access to HKSAR passport holders.

At present, nationals of Greenland and the Faroe Islands can visit Hong Kong visa-free for a stay of up to three months.
