Croatia grants visa-free access for HKSAR passport holders

The Republic of Croatia has granted visa-free access for Hong Kong SAR passport holders for a stay of up to 90 days. The new provision takes effect immediately.

"We warmly welcome the decision of the Croatian government. It marks a vote of confidence by Croatia in our effective immigration control under the 'One Country, Two Systems' arrangement," a government spokesman said today (February 20).

"It is a further achievement in our efforts to enhance travel convenience for the holders of Hong Kong passports."

In the past, visas were issued on arrival in Croatia.

The decision of the Croatian government brings to 124 the number of countries and territories that have agreed to grant visa-free access to Hong Kong passport holders.

At present, nationals of Croatia can visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 14 days.
