The Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, will depart for Antalya, Türkiye, tonight (November 8) to join the Chinese delegation to attend the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31).
      
     Mr Tse will deliver a speech at the China Pavilion's side event and will have bilateral meetings with other representatives to introduce Hong Kong's strategies and progress in carbon reduction and combatting climate change.
      
     The Commissioner for Climate Change of the Environment and Ecology Bureau (EEB), Mr Sammy Yeung, and officers from the EEB will also join the visit.
      
     Mr Tse will leave on the night of November 12 (Antalya time) and arrive in Hong Kong on the afternoon of November 13 (Hong Kong time). During his absence, the Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Miss Diane Wong, will be the Acting Secretary for Environment and Ecology.
