Employer fined for violation of safety legislation

     ​Fine Point Transportation Co., Limited was fined $140,000 at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts today (November 5) for violating the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on November 14, 2025, at a carpark in Kwai Chung. While a worker was handling a pile of upright gypsum boards at an open-air car park, the boards toppled suddenly and pressed against him. He was rushed to hospital in an unconscious state and passed away on the same day.
