Police are investigating a murder case happened in Ngau Tau Kok yesterday (October 11) in which a woman died.       

     Police received a report yesterday from staff of United Christian Hospital that a woman had collapsed in a unit in Tak Yiu House, Tak Long Estate, at about 8am that morning. She was sent to the hospital in unconscious state, and was certified dead at 9.12am that morning.

     Initial investigation revealed that the 93-year-old woman sustained injuries to her face, neck, chest and abdomen. She was allegedly assaulted with bare hands.

     After investigation, Police arrested a 52-year-old foreign woman for murder in Ngau Tau Kok today (October 12). She is being detained for further enquiries. 

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.       

     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Sau Mau Ping District are under way. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 6236.
