Government appoints members to Hospital Authority

The serving member reappointed, Professor David Shum Ho-keung, continues to serve as a HA member in his capacity of the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for a period of two years from November 1, 2026, to October 31, 2028.
The new member, Revd Canon Peter Douglas Koon Ho-ming, will be appointed for a period of two years from October 12, 2026, to October 11, 2028.
Revd Canon Koon is an incumbent member of the Legislative Council representing the Election Committee Constituency and the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. He is also a former member of the Hospital Governing Committee of Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital.
The Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau, welcomed the new member to the HA and also expressed gratitude to the serving member reappointed.
The HA comprises a Chairman, 22 non-official members, three public officers and one principal officer from the HA. The membership list to be effective from November 1, 2026, is as follows:
