Traffic and public transport arrangements for Kai Tak Hospital

Traffic arrangements
Appropriate traffic signs have been put up on road sections near KTH to guide motorists and pedestrians. Vehicles travelling to KTH from Kowloon Central, Kowloon East or Kowloon West can access KTH on Shing Cheong Road via Kai Tak Bridge Road, Cheung Yip Street or Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Exit 3A of the Central Kowloon Bypass (Yau Ma Tei Section) respectively.
Public transport arrangements
There will be a total of 10 franchised bus and six green minibus routes serving the KTH area, carrying passengers from various districts across Kowloon or nearby MTR stations, including Kai Tak, Kowloon Bay, Sung Wong Toi, To Kwa Wan, Wong Tai Sin, Ngau Tau Kok, Kwun Tong and Yau Tong Stations, directly to the KTH area. Operators will add signage on vehicle bodies, at bus stops, in bus compartment broadcasts as well as on websites and mobile apps for passengers' identification.

To further assist persons with disabilities who have difficulty using conventional public transport, the Rehabus operator will provide a Feeder Service for KTH starting from October 5, enabling those in need to travel between MTR Kai Tak and Lok Fu Stations and the KTH area.
In addition, in the neighbouring Kowloon Bay Business Area, over 40 franchised bus and green minibus routes have en-route stops near Kai Fuk Road or Zero Carbon Park. Passengers can also conveniently access KTH via the covered footbridge after alighting.
A spokesman for the TD said, "We have steered operators to closely monitor passenger demand and strengthen or adjust services when necessary. Passengers should refer to operators' notices, websites or mobile apps, or heed onboard broadcasts to stay informed of route details, stop locations and service hours in advance. During the initial period of service commencement, traffic in the vicinity of KTH may be busier during certain periods. The Emergency Transport Co-ordination Centre will closely monitor traffic and public transport conditions. Members of the public should plan their journeys ahead and reserve sufficient time to adapt to the new arrangements."
KTH has briefed stakeholders on the new arrangements, including distributing KTH Transportation Information Cards to relevant District Offices, District Council members, District Services and Community Care Teams, and has produced videos introducing transport interchange and connection arrangements.
Members of the public may refer to the KTH webpage (www3.ha.org.hk/kth) and the TD's HKeMobility mobile app to plan their journeys ahead, and heed the latest traffic news via radio and television broadcasts, the TD's website (www.td.gov.hk) and HKeMobility.
