FS to visit Qatar

Under the theme "Tomorrow's Infrastructure: Impact and Innovation", this year's AIIB Annual Meeting will bring together government officials, multilateral development institutions, business leaders and other stakeholders from around the world for in-depth exchanges on issues such as sustainable infrastructure, cross-border connectivity, green finance and digital transformation, as well as discussions on the AIIB's strategic direction and future work agenda.
Mr Chan will attend a number of meetings during the Annual Meeting, including the official meeting of the Board of Governors, and will deliver a keynote speech at a thematic session on digital public infrastructure. He will also meet with other AIIB Governors, as well as local and international political and business leaders.
Mr Chan will depart for Hong Kong in the early hours of September 29 (Qatar time) and return to Hong Kong that afternoon (Hong Kong time). During his absence from Hong Kong, the Deputy Financial Secretary, Mr Michael Wong, will act as Financial Secretary.
