The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Ms Mable Chan, will depart for Beijing tomorrow (September 22) morning to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Transportation Ministerial Meeting and the Global Sustainable Transport Forum in the afternoon.

     Ms Chan will speak at the Ministerial Meeting and exchange views with other participating minsters to discuss issues of mutual concern. In addition, she will call on the Civil Aviation Administration of China to exchange views on aviation development. The Permanent Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Vic Yau, and the Director-General of Civil Aviation, Ms Clara Wong, will join the meeting.

     Ms Chan will depart for Hong Kong in the afternoon on September 23. During her absence, the Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Liu Chun-san, will be the Acting Secretary for Transport and Logistics.
