SLW to visit Nanjing and Shanghai

While in Nanjing from September 20 to 21, Mr Sun will attend the 8th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting and the International (Jiangsu) Conference on the Development of Human Resources Services. He will also call on officials of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province, and meet with representatives of local enterprises to exchange ideas. The Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage, Mr Felix Chan, will also join part of the visit.
The visit to Shanghai from September 22 to 23 will comprise attending the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, and meeting with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology. Mr Sun will also visit an industry park for gerontech to learn more about the developments and applications of gerontech in Shanghai.
Mr Sun will depart for Hong Kong on September 23. In his absence, the Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Ho Kai-ming, will be the Acting Secretary for Labour and Welfare.
