Firefighters upgrade gear and training

The Fire Services Department (FSD) has upgraded breathing apparatus with faster cylinder swaps, an air-sharing function and improved communication features to boost operational efficiency. It has also introduced new operable partition systems that allow training spaces to be rapidly reconfigured, enhancing firefighters' adaptability to different fire scenarios.

News.gov.hk spoke with FSD representatives, who outlined the advantages of the new breathing apparatus system and shared positive reviews after using the new equipment.
