S for S to lead delegation for study in Yan'an and attend 2026 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) in Jiangsu

     The Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, will visit Yan'an in Shaanxi Province tomorrow (September 5) to attend the opening ceremony of a national study programme at the China Executive Leadership Academy Yan'an organised for Security Bureau personnel, and join activities of the programme.

     On September 7, Mr Tang will depart for Shanghai to lead a delegation comprising the heads of the six disciplined services to visit the city, and attend the 2026 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) to be held in Jiangsu on September 9. Members of the delegation include the Commissioner of Police, Mr Chow Yat-ming; the Director of Immigration, Mr Benson Kwok; the Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Mr Chan Tsz-tat; the Commissioner of Correctional Services, Mr Wong Kwok-hing; the Director of Fire Services, Mr Andy Yeung; and the Controller of the Government Flying Service, Captain Eddie Liu.

     Mr Tang will return to Hong Kong on September 10. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Security, Mr Michael Cheuk, will be the Acting Secretary for Security.
