"Innovate with Grace, Peace in Cyberspace" tram promotion campaign launched (with photos)

     ​To further raise public awareness of cybersecurity, the Digital Policy Office (DPO), the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre jointly launched the "Innovate with Grace, Peace in Cyberspace" tram promotion campaign today (August 28). 

     Addressing the launch ceremony, the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, said that with emerging technologies such as AI become increasingly integrated into daily life, the society is embarking on an innovation and technology (I&T) journey. To ensure that this journey is more secure and sustainable, cybersecurity is a vital safeguard. Maintaining cybersecurity not only protects citizens' daily lives and supports the smooth functioning of society, but also helps drive Hong Kong's high-quality I&T development.

     The campaign is designed to appeal to the community through a roving publicity initiative, with creative comics displayed on tram bodies to promote the importance of cybersecurity and the safe use of emerging technologies. Starting from today, two thematic trams will shuttle across various districts on Hong Kong Island for four consecutive weeks. One of the trams will showcase the winning entry from the AI-Generated Four-Panel Comic Contest, demonstrating the public's smart use of AI tools in turning cybersecurity issues into engaging stories. The other tram features practical cybersecurity tips, reminding the public to stay vigilant against various cyber traps while enjoying the convenience brought about by I&T.

     This year, the DPO and industry stakeholders are co-organising various activities under the theme "Innovate with Grace, Peace in Cyberspace" to strengthen the overall cybersecurity preparedness of the community. Apart from the tram promotion campaign and interactive game booths, key events include the 2026 China Cybersecurity Week Hong Kong Sub-forum, thematic seminars, AI x Cybersecurity Challenge, the AI-Generated Four-Panel Comic Contest and more.
