Appointments to Transport Advisory Committee announced

     The Government announced today (August 28) that the Chief Executive has reappointed two incumbent members and appointed seven new members to the Transport Advisory Committee (TAC). The reappointments and appointments will be effective from October 1 this year.

     The serving members to be reappointed are Dr Isaac Ng Ka-chui and Ms Cally Chan Shan-shan. The seven new members are Dr Blanc Wan Chun-pong, Mr Anthony Kong Shing-hei, Miss He Xiulei, Professor Franklin Yu, Mr Jason Chong Chin-ming, Miss Peggy Tse Pui-kei and Miss Rosalind Lee. Mr Anthony Kong Shing-hei and Miss He Xiulei were appointed through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth.

     The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Ms Mable Chan, said, "The Government values TAC's valuable advice on many significant transport issues over the past years, and looks forward to continuing to work closely with the TAC members in the future.

     "We also thank the outgoing members, Mr Ricky Yu Wai-yip, Mr Hugh Chow Hin-poon, Professor Joel Chan Cho-sing, Ms Iris Wan Lai-sze, Dr Cheng Shing-fung, Ms Dilys Chau Suet-fung and Miss Chan Hong-yee for their contributions to the TAC over the past years."

     The TAC is a key advisory body to the Government on transport policy and major transport-related proposals. Currently, the TAC comprises 16 non-official members including the Chairman and three ex-officio members.
