Applications for CAD 80th Anniversary Open Day admission tickets begin

     ​The Civil Aviation Department (CAD) will hold open day on September 12 (Saturday) and September 13 (Sunday) in celebration of its establishment for 80 years. With the theme "Safeguarding Civil Aviation for 80 Years: Passing the Torch, Shaping the Future", the open day aims at strengthening community ties and further promoting aviation knowledge.
      
     The open day will feature a variety of activities, including an Air Traffic Control Tower Simulator experience, thematic talks on aviation, a career exhibition on CAD professional grades, guided activities of the Aviation Education Path, game booths, and a treasure hunt.
      
     The open day will be divided into the following three sessions for an enhanced visitor experience. A ticket is required for admission.
      
     (1) September 12, 2026 (Saturday), 2pm to 5pm
     (2) September 13, 2026 (Sunday), 9.30am to 12.30pm
     (3) September 13, 2026 (Sunday), 2pm to 5pm
      
     Online pre-registration is required for free admission to the open day. Each applicant may select a preferred session and request a maximum of three admission tickets. If there is an oversubscription, selection will be made by computer balloting. The online registration system will accept applications from today (August 14) to August 24. Successful applicants will receive QR code admission tickets by email on or before September 4.
