Fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum

Police received a report at about 3.20pm that a 71-year-old man reportedly collapsed while driving a coach inside Shing Mun Tunnels towards Tsuen Wan bound tunnel tube. The coach suspectedly lost control and rammed into a kerb inside the tunnel.
Sustaining no superficial injury, the coach driver was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.13pm.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
