The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Southwest Gale or Storm Signal at 7.10am today (July 26). It replaced the Increasing Gale or Storm Signal No. 9.
      
     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 29 temporary shelters in various districts and 228 people have sought refuge at the shelters.
          
     As at 8am, the Government's 1823 Call Centre and the Fire Services Department received 21 reports and 95 reports of fallen trees respectively. No report of landslide or flooding has been received so far.
      
     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 8am, nine people (five males and four females) were injured during the typhoon period. They received medical treatments at the Accident and Emergency Departments of public hospitals.
