The Government announced today (July 20) the appointment of Dr Charles Ng Chak-chuen and Miss Christine Tsui Yuen-ting to the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) Committee through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth (MSSY) for a term from July 20, 2026, to March 31, 2028.
   
     The CIIF was established in 2002 to promote social capital development through encouraging mutual support in the neighbourhood, community participation and cross-sectoral partnership. The CIIF Committee is tasked to handle applications for funding under the CIIF and advise the Government on the administration of the CIIF as well as the development of social capital in Hong Kong.
 
     The Government recruits young persons who are eager to serve the community to join the Government's advisory committees through the MSSY with a view to providing more opportunities for young people to participate in policy discussions.
