SITI to visit Shanghai

     The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, will depart for a visit to Shanghai this afternoon (July 16) to attend the 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance and speak at the Seminar on Fostering Economic Innovation and Global Collaboration through AI.

     Professor Sun will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon of July 18. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Ms Lillian Cheong, will be the Acting Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry.
