Appointments to Leveraged Foreign Exchange Trading Arbitration Panel announced

     The Government announced today (July 15) that the Financial Secretary has appointed the new Chairman and Deputy Chairman, and three new members to the Leveraged Foreign Exchange Trading Arbitration Panel for a term of three years from July 17, 2026, to July 16, 2029.

     The membership of the Panel of the new term is as follows:

Dr Chordio Chan Siu-ping (appointed as Chairman)
Dr Levin Wang Lei (appointed as Deputy Chairman)
Dr Lu Mengyu (appointed as member)
Ms Peggy Tse Pui-kei (appointed as member)
Mr Stephen Tsui Chi-to (appointed as member)

     A spokesman for the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau said, "Members of the Panel are seasoned practitioners in the financial or legal services sector, and we look forward to their support to the work of the Panel with their professional knowledge and extensive experience. We would also like to express gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, Ms Rosita Lee Pui-shan, and the two outgoing members, Ms Veronica Fung Kit-ming and Ms Eviana Leung Bon-yuen, for their contributions to the Panel during their tenure."

     The Panel was established under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571) to arbitrate disputes between corporations licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission for carrying out leveraged foreign exchange trading and their clients.
