Administration Wing appeals to public to remain vigilant against fraudulent Honours and Awards website

     The Administration Wing today (July 8) appealed to members of the public to stay alert to a fraudulent website (hkgovtaward.pythonanywhere[.]com) relating to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)'s Honours and Awards, which seeks to deceive members of the public into providing their personal information.

     The Administration Wing stresses that the fraudulent website has no connection with the HKSAR's Honours and Awards, and a report has been made to the Police.

     Members of the public are reminded to note that the website addresses of the Administration Wing and the Honours and Awards are www.admwing.gov.hk and www.admwing.gov.hk/eng/honours_awards/honours.html respectively.

     Fraudsters may use other domain names as fraudulent websites. Members of the public should stay vigilant and should not visit any suspicious websites or provide any personal information. Anyone who has provided their personal information to the website concerned or suspects that they have become a victim of fraudulent acts is strongly advised to contact the Police.
