Appointment to Social Workers Registration Board announced

     The Government announced the appointment of Professor Eric Chui Wing-hong as a member of the Social Workers Registration Board. Professor Chui's appointment will take effect on June 30, 2026, for a term of three years. The above appointment has been gazetted today (June 26) and Professor Chui has taken the Board Member Oath in accordance with the Social Workers Registration Ordinance.

     The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Chris Sun, thanked the outgoing member, Professor Amy Chow Yin-man, for her contributions and dedication to the Board. He also welcomed Professor Chui as a member of the Board and looked forward to continuing to work closely with the Board.

     The Board handles social worker registration matters and monitors the professional conduct of registered social workers.

     The membership of the Board with effect from June 30, 2026, is as follows:
