The Government announced today (June 26) that the Chief Executive has reappointed Mr Paulo Pong Kin-yee as the Chairman and appointed Mr Simon Wong Hin-wing as the Deputy Chairman to the Board of the Ocean Park Corporation (OPC). The Chief Executive has also appointed nine existing incumbent members and eight new members to the Board. All the appointments are for a term of two years from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028.

     The reappointed incumbent members are Dr Quinton Chan Yuk-kuen, Mr Raymond Chow Ming-joe, Mr Jonathan Leung Chun, Dr Ma Kwan-ki, Mr Alvin Miu, Mr Alexander Yeung Ching-loong, the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) (or representative), the Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation (or representative) and the Commissioner for Tourism (or representative).

     The newly appointed members are Ms Cissy Chan Ching-sze, Mr Jimmy Chan Kwok-ho, Mr Humphrey Choi Chor-ching, Ms Lau Kam-shim, Dr Lo Wai-kwok, Mr David Tang Chi-fai, Mr William Harry Tang Jiasheng and Professor Qiu Jianwen.

        A spokesman for the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau welcomed the eight new members joining the Board, and expressed gratitude to the reappointed members for their continued valuable advice. The spokesman also thanked the outgoing Deputy Chairman, Mr Stephen Wong See-yuen and the members, Mr Enoch Lam Tin-sing, Ms Ivy Lee Siu-wing, Ms Stephanie Poon, Mr Simon Siu Chak-yu, Professor Gray A Williams and Mrs Bonnie Woo Chan Tak-chi, for their strong support and invaluable contributions to the Board during their tenure.

        The spokesman said that the Government will continue to support the OPC's conservation and education work to consolidate its position as a world-class conservation and education hub, while providing visitors with enjoyable and meaningful leisure and adventure experiences to enhance the park's overall attractiveness.

     The OPC is a statutory body established under the Ocean Park Corporation Ordinance (Chapter 388) to manage Ocean Park as a public recreational, educational and conservational park.
