Reappointment to Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board announced

     The Government announced today (June 26) that the Financial Secretary, with the authority delegated by the Chief Executive, has reappointed Mrs Yvonne Law Shing Mo-han as a member of the Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board for a term of three years from July 1, 2026.

     A Government spokesman said, "Mrs Law possesses rich knowledge and experience in the accounting sector. During the past three years of her appointment, she has tendered professional advice on the operation of the Board, making significant contributions. We look forward to her continued support for the work of the Board."

     The Board is a statutory body established in 2004 under the Deposit Protection Scheme Ordinance. It manages the operation of the Deposit Protection Scheme, which aims to protect depositors and contribute to the stability of the banking system.

     The aforesaid reappointment under the Deposit Protection Scheme Ordinance was gazetted today.
