SFST to lead financial delegation to visit Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou

     The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Christopher Hui, will lead a 30-plus strong financial delegation to start their visit to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou tomorrow (June 14).

     During the trip, Mr Hui and the delegation will attend several networking sessions on supporting Mainland enterprises going global, visit several companies and institutions, and call on provincial and municipal leaders. They will also attend the Lujiazui Forum in Shanghai on June 17.

     Prominent members of the delegation include the Permanent Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Financial Services), Mrs Angelina Cheung; the Director-General of Investment Promotion of Invest Hong Kong, Ms Alpha Lau; the Director-General of the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises, Mr Peter Yan; the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, Ms Bonnie Chan; the Executive Director of the Financial Services Development Council, Dr Rocky Tung; the Chairman of Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, Mr Simon Chan; as well as various chairpersons and presidents of financial associations, alongside decision-makers from asset management and venture capital firms.

     Mr Hui will return to Hong Kong in the evening of June 18. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Joseph Chan, will act as the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.
