Sixth-term Commission on Poverty convenes seventh meeting (with photos)

     The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, chaired the seventh meeting of the sixth-term Commission on Poverty (CoP) this afternoon (June 11).

     At the meeting, members noted that the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is formulating Hong Kong's first five-year plan to proactively align with the National 15th Five-Year Plan. Members offered suggestions on the social welfare development strategies of Hong Kong in the next five years, especially on how to unite the community at large in actively advancing targeted assistance to disadvantaged groups.  

     Mr Chan thanked members for their valuable comments. He also welcomed various sectors of society to draw on the collective wisdom by participating in the formulation of Hong Kong's first five-year plan together.
