The Government announced today (May 29) the reappointment of 14 incumbent non-official members to the Commission on Children (CoC). Their appointments will take effect on June 1, 2026, for a term of two years.
 
     The Chief Secretary for Administration and Chairperson of the CoC, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, welcomed the appointments. He said he looked forward to closely collaborating with them, working together to promote various initiatives conducive to children's development and child protection, as well as safeguarding children's well-being through concerted efforts. He also expressed his appreciation to the outgoing members for their efforts and contributions made to the CoC.
 
     The CoC was established on June 1, 2018. Its major functions are to develop policies, set strategies and priorities related to the development and advancement of children, oversee the implementation of relevant policies and services, promote children's rights and fund public educational projects.
