​The Government announced today (May 14) the appointment of Miss Jennifer Ho Yan-har and Miss Pinky Lau Pik-yiu to the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE) through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth (MSSY) for a term from May 15, 2026, to March 31, 2028.
      
     The CPCE was established in 1986 as a non-statutory advisory body to promote civic education outside schools. It advises the Government on the objectives and scope of civic education, promotes civic education outside schools through a range of publicity and educational programmes, and sponsors eligible organisations to carry out civic education projects.
      
     The Government recruits young persons who are eager to serve the community to join the Government's advisory committees through the MSSY with a view to providing more opportunities for young people to participate in policy discussions.
