Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

Police received a report at about 8.57am that a coach driven by a 67-year-old man was travelling along Kwu Tung Road towards San Tin. When approaching a park, it reportedly knocked down a 41-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to North District Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.18am.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is under way.
