The Director of Immigration, Mr Benson Kwok Joon-fung, will reach retirement age on April 9, 2026. He has been granted an extension of service to June 30, 2027.

     A Government spokesman said today (April 8), "The purpose of granting Director Kwok an extension of service is to facilitate a smooth transition of the senior management of the Immigration Department."
