Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Sheung Shui this afternoon (March 29) in which a man died.

     At about 3.10pm, a 64-year-old man reportedly collapsed while driving a private car along an unnamed road near Sha Tau Kok Road - Lung Yeuk Tau towards Sha Tau Kok Road - Lung Yeuk Tau direction. The private car suspectedly went out of control and crashed into an iron railing.

     Sustaining no superficial injury, the driver was rushed to North District Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.26pm.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is under way.
