Police arrested a 43-year-old man on March 21 and laid holding charges against him yesterday (March 22) with one count of attempted wounding with intent and one count of possession of offensive weapon.

     The man was suspected to be in connection with a Police open fire case happened in Kwai Chung on March 21, in which he was holding weapons and three officers fired a total of five shots at him.

     The case was mentioned at the Shatin Magistrates’ Courts today (March 23).

     Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South are under way.
