The Government announced today (March 13) the reappointment of three serving members and the appointment of three new members to the Hospital Authority (HA).

     Among the serving members reappointed, Professor Philip Chiu Wai-yan and Professor Lau Chak-sing continue to serve as HA members in the capacity of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Dean of the LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong respectively. Their terms of appointment are for two years from February 27, 2026, to February 26, 2028. The other serving member, Mr Matthew Kwok Pui-ho, will be reappointed for a period of one year from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.

     The three new members, Dr Henry Chan Hin-lee, Ms Priscilla Chau Pui-ying and Mr Ko Yiu-cheung, will be appointed for a period of two years from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028.

     Dr Chan is a specialist in dermatology and venereology in private practice and an Honorary Clinical Professor of the University of Hong Kong. He is also a former member of the Hospital Governing Committee of MacLehose Medical Rehabilitation Centre.

     Ms Chau is the Director of Human Resources of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. She is currently a member of the Human Resources Committee of the HA.

     Mr Ko is the founding Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Adult Blood Cancer Group. He is currently a member of the Hospital Governing Committee of North District Hospital. 

     The Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau, welcomed the three new members to the HA. He also expressed gratitude to the three serving members reappointed and extended heartfelt thanks to the three outgoing members, Ms Margaret Cheng Wai-ching, Ms Mary Huen Wai-yi and Professor Zhang Zhang-jin, for their invaluable contributions to the HA.  

     The HA comprises a Chairman, 22 non-official members, three public officers and one principal officer from the HA. The membership list to be effective from April 1, 2026, is as follows:
