Suspension of postal services to Middle East and certain destinations

     Hongkong Post announced today (March 1) that, due to airlines suspending flights to the Middle East, Hongkong Post has suspended the airmail services to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates with immediate effect until further notice. Airmail services transiting through these locations will also be suspended. The affected destinations are as follows:

     Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Comoros, Cuba, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Liberia, Moldova, Mozambique, Namibia, Russia (Russian Federation) (Speedpost service only), Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

     Hongkong Post will continue to maintain close communication with the airlines for resumption of services as soon as possible. Members of public may visit the Hongkong Post website for the latest information.
