Vehicle Detention and Examination Centre (Hong Kong Island) to officially open on February 25 (with photos)

     To enhance service and operational efficiency of related facilities, the Vehicle Detention and Examination Centre (Hong Kong Island) will open on February 25 to replace the existing Quarry Bay Police Vehicle Pound, a Police spokesperson said today (February 23).

     The new centre, located at the Chai Wan Government Complex and Vehicle Depot, 11 Sheung Tat Street, Chai Wan, will commence operation at 2pm on February 25, providing facilities and equipment for vehicle detention and inspection. The existing Quarry Bay Police Vehicle Pound will cease operation simultaneously.

     For enquiries, the public can contact the Operations Support Sub-Unit of Enforcement and Control Division of Traffic Hong Kong Island at 3660 1892.
