Tenders invited for Hong Kong East Drainage Tunnel

The works mainly include:
• construction of a drainage tunnel of about 3.6 kilometres in length and about 5 metres in diameter from Shau Kei Wan and Chai Wan to Pak Sha Wan;
• construction of seven intakes and connection adits;
• construction of an outfall; and
• carrying out ancillary works.
The works are scheduled to commence in August 2026 and will take about 46 months to complete.
The DSD has commissioned Binnies Hong Kong Limited to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors can download the tender forms and other particulars from the e-Tendering System (e-TS). Tenderers must submit their tenders in electronic format via the e-TS.
