LCSD launches Year of Horse special edition of Museum Pass

     With the Chinese New Year approaching, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) launched a special edition of the Museum Pass to celebrate the Year of the Horse with museum lovers. There are two designs for the special edition, one with a collection from the Hong Kong Heritage Museum (HKHM) - "Horse and Shadow II" by contemporary artist Antonio Mak, and the other with the LCSD's mascots, Enggie Pup and Artti Kitty, in new-year costume. The special edition designs are only applicable to the physical Museum Pass. It is available for sale at seven LCSD museums (Note) from today (February 6), while stocks last. Museum Pass holders can also enjoy spring offers in the catering facilities in LCSD venues from today.

     A Museum Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The annual fees for the family pass, individual pass, and concessionary pass (full-time students, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens aged 60 or above) are $100, $50, and $25 respectively. There is a 10 per cent discount on the Museum Pass for Hong Kong Ocean Park Annual Membership holders and Hong Kong Disneyland "Magic Access" holders during the promotional period.

     Museum Pass holders can enjoy complimentary item or dining discount in the catering facilities in LCSD venues below from February 6 to March 22:

Year-round offers

     Museum Pass provides a wide range of special offers year-round. The special offers for venues and activities under the LCSD:

  • Access permanent and special exhibitions (including fee-charging exhibitions)
  • 10 per cent discount on purchases of publications and souvenirs produced by the LCSD at museums gift or book shops (except the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum (SYSM) and the Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence (MWRCD))
  • 10 per cent discount on participation in museum extension activities solely organised by LCSD museums (e.g. educational programmes)
2. The Alchemist Cafe in the HKHM 10 per cent discount
3. Madam Hong Cafe in the MWRCD 10 per cent discount
4. MoA Dining in the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) Up to 15 per cent discount upon registration via designated direct booking link
5. Mi Manchi in the East Kowloon Cultural Centre 12 per cent discount on the à la carte menu, or alternatively, one complimentary Tiramisu for spending of $400 or above
