
Fatal traffic accident in Chai Wan

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Chai Wan this afternoon (January 19), in which a man died.
At 4.21pm, a motorcycle driven by a 58-year-old man was travelling along Island Eastern Corridor towards Chai Wan. When approaching 30 Shing Tai Road, the motorcycle reportedly went out of control and rammed into a railing.
Sustaining head injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.37pm.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is under way.
