Tender awarded for site in Jordan Valley

     The Lands Department announced today (January 7) that the tender for a site, New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6674 at Choi Hing Road, Jordan Valley, Kowloon, has been awarded to the highest tenderer, King Virtue Limited (parent companies: Sino Land Company Limited and Great Eagle Holdings Limited), on a 50-year land grant at a premium of $1,610,000,000.

     The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:

(1) Century Mark Investments Limited (CK Asset Holdings Limited);
(2) Chinawide Development Limited (Henderson Land Development Company Limited);
(3) Keen Point Limited;
(4) Noble Perfect Investments Limited (Kerry Properties Limited);
(5) Pacific Great International Limited (Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited);
(6) Strong Associate Limited (K. Wah International Holdings Limited); and
(7) Zarow Limited (Wheelock Properties Limited).

     New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6674 has a site area of about 3 830 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding godown, hotel and petrol filling station) purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 20 682 sq m and 34 470 sq m respectively. Both exclude the gross floor area of Government Accommodation, being a day activity centre and hostel for severely mentally handicapped persons, a supported hostel for mentally handicapped persons and a lay-by, all to be constructed by the purchaser under the Conditions of Sale.
