Smart training aids rehabilitation

The Jockey Club Smart Geriatric Day Hospital Project, launched by Pok Oi Hospital in 2024, reduces the need for in-hospital rehabilitation by adopting smart technologies that allow patients to undergo training at home or in care homes. Since its launch, the project has supported approximately 350 patients.

News.gov.hk spoke with a resident and a staff member at a care home about their experiences with the programme. Representatives from Pok Oi Hospital and Lingnan University also assessed the initiative's benefits.
